Under the guidance of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche
Group Study
YPPC offers meditation programs for Buddhists and the general public (non-Buddhists).
Meditation programs are specially designed by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and led by
students familiar with the practice.

Mahamudra: Buddhist programs include traditional multi-year Mahamudra practice
programs for both English- and Chinese-speaking students. This step-by-step program
involves preliminary practices (Tib:
ngondro), calm abiding meditation (Tib: shinay or
Skt: shamatha), and eventually, insight mediation (Tib: lhatong or Skt: vipashyana).
Review of teaching DVDs, book study, and some discussion are also involved.

Calm Abiding Meditation: General public programs include Calm Abiding Meditation
sessions and study from Mingyur Rinpoche's book
The Joy of Living.

Public Pujas: In addition, Lama Tsewang Trinley leads group pujas (offering prayers
w/meditation), which anyone can attend. These are held on special days of the month.

For a schedule of English-speaking programs and pujas, refer to the current issue of the

Living Dharma
newsletter.
